The Motivation behind Unibasket™
Traditional portafilters with baskets fashioned from stamped metal suffer from one thing; flex. When the basket flexes under pressure from your machine, the flow distribution focusses on the centre of the puck, creating an uneven extraction where the centre of the puck is over-extracted, and the outside of the puck left under-extracted.
Unibasket works best with BUCK, the Naked Portafilter by Weber:
With BUCK, together with Weber's Unibasket™, uneven extraction resulting from flex is almost entirely eliminated.
Whilst BUCK can be used with traditional baskets,it is recommended to pair with Unibasket™ for the ultimate extraction uplift.
